Green Passive Solar Home Plans #1

This eco friendly Passive Solar House is nestled among mature trees and has a lean, "green" design that still puts style and comfort in the fore front. It stays apart from the crowd equally for its elegance and grace, and its eco friendly Passive Solar Design and Construction.

Behind the walls, the modern home blends a high-performance building envelope with passive solar, zero energy technologies that minimize its ecological impact. Set on a south facing slope, the house takes advantage of natural daylight. A south-facing glazed Green House absorbs sun to heat the house during the cold winters. The clerestory located high in a central wall near the eaves allows additional daylight into a building interior, and may be used for ventilation and solar heat gain.

As the sun travels across the sky, its rays hit and reflect through the glass at different angles for an ever-changing spectrum of color and shape.

This smart home is 1,500 sq.ft. | 1 story | 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom | 1 car garage. It includes a Green house, Clerestory, a lush Green living roof, a Solar-Electric Generation System, a Rain-Water Collection System and a Constructed Wetland for treatment of grey water to minimize its environmental impact without compromising on convenience or lavish comforts.
Designed in 3D ArchiCAD, Eco-Designer.
