Inspired by this theme, Passive House stakeholders from around the globe will gather in Hanover, Germany for the upcoming International Passive House Conference, to be held in May 2012.
The International Passive House Conference has gained worldwide recognition as the leading event for energy efficient construction. Organised by proKlima and the Passive House Institute, this truly global event will provide a forum for exchange for participants from around the world.
Reaching out to the entire range of construction professionals and the general public alike, the 5 day framework programme will encompass a variety of sub-events including world class plenary sessions, expert and craftsmen forums, courses for Passive House newcomers, a job fair as well as an exhibition featuring a variety of energy efficient components and solutions. These events are then to be rounded off by excursions, allowing visitors to get first hand experience with real Passive House buildings.
Quality, comfort, conservation of resources, climate protection, sustainability – the Passive House has it all. Highly efficient components, produced and installed by local professionals, minimise energy use while creating added value locally. Passive House thus offers an integrated approach for a sustainable future.
The 2012 Conference is expected to feature more innovative energy efficiency solutions than ever. Harmonising outstanding architecture and excellent energy performance, tackling climate zone related challenges, developing Passive House components and energy efficient appliances, introducing concepts for the market uptake of Passive House worldwide – these are among the many issues to be addressed at the conference. All those who would like to present their projects, experiences or innovative solutions are invited to submit an abstract by 31 October 2011.
